Enhancements to existing functions

Rotated Keys are now named in a more human-readable way

Previously, the name of a rotated key is in the form of << Name Key-replaced-by-0e2909f9-39f2-4e6a-a52b-ede14b06b22f >>. In order to make it more human-friendly, the naming convention has been changed to << Name Key (rotated at YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm:ss) >>.

Plugins column added to Groups list view

By adding the Plugins column, users will be able to see a count of the number of plugins in the group. This is especially helpful if the user is attempting to delete a group. By checking against the list view, the user can make sure that the group is empty before he deletes it (i.e. there are 0 users, plugins, apps and security objects in the group)

Reseller improvements

  • Tenants list view has been fixed. Previously, checkboxes next to tenants could not be ticked. List of Enabled and Disabled tenants have been removed.
  • On tenants listing page, when actions are performed, messages for these actions are not being displayed. This bug has now been fixed.
  • Tenants listing page will not be displayed if user type is not reseller.
  • Fixed bug in tenant account page where the App icon was not being displayed. App icon will display properly now together with the number of apps associated with that tenant account.
  • Fixed styling issues in Add new tenant page (e.g. misaligned form elements, notification of missing required fields…)

Bug Fixes

  • Previously, after adding Google Stackdriver integration, users were not allowed to edit. This has been fixed – users can now edit and update the integration configuration. Google Stackdriver configuration can be accessed under Settings > Log Management, select Google Stackdriver and click on the Edit Configuration.
  • Fixed bug when adding existing apps to a group from the groups list view. Previously, an error “Expected app permissions list” was raised. Now, existing apps can be added successfully to a group.
  • For user type – Account Members and Auditors, the customize account functionality has been disabled.
  • Fixed a bug where users were not able to upload the same certificate file for apps after changing the authentication method. This bug occurs in the Groups list view.

Quality of Life improvements

  • SmartKey is now able to log failed authentication attempts (e.g. user provides wrong credentials when logging in). Note that only System Administrators will be able to view these events in the log.
  • Dedicated threads will be used for post-response updates. This affects Log Management. By dedicating threads to handle response updates from external log servers, in the event there is a fault with the logging system, the core functionality of SmartKey will not be affected by logging issues.
  • In the PKCS11 library, it has been updated to make re-attempts at connections when it fails. This will make the overall connection to SmartKey servers more stable. The SmartKey PKCS#11 library for Linux 64-bit can be downloaded here.
  • Password will no longer be revealed to users for LDAP service integration. This can be accessed from Settings > Authentication, select “Single Sign-on”. Choose “LDAP Integration”. In the details section, click on “Add service account” to show the following screen. Instead of showing the password, it will be hidden with •••••••••.
  • Descriptions of each type of users has been added to the Add New User page.
